Welcome to the Britton Deerfield Schools!

For the 2010-2011 school year both the Britton and Deerfield school boards voted to adopt a "shared service" plan for their middle and high school students. All middle school students (grades 6-8) attend classes in Deerfield. All high school students (grades 9-12) attend classes in the Britton Building.

The school boards also moved to consolidate the districts.  The support was overwhelming and consolidation passed with a vote of 652-174.  The school districts officially became one on July 1, 2011 just before Independence Day.

I grew up just outside of Toledo. I earned my Associates in Architectural Sciences from the University of Toledo and shortly after transplanted to Michigan.  I spent 25 years in the landscape industry.  The first 10 working for a fertilizing company and then 13 years running my own company serving all aspects of landscape and Christmas Lighting.  In 2021 I made the decision to make a career change.  I noticed the need for bus drivers in my own children’s district, so I pursed my CDL.  I spent 3 years driving daily routes and was awarded Rookie of the year and made an appearance at the State of Michigan Bus Roadeo driving skills competition. I am a proud mom of 4 all of whom are great students, star athletes and all around wonderful kids.
